Moved

So I got myself moved into my new place over the weekend. It took all of friday, saturday, and sunday. The big problem was that it was hot as balls out there. However, most of my stuff was still packed up since I had moved back from Omaha only about 6 weeks ago. I was able to move without renting a truck by using my car to transport everything. It took several trips, but the new place is only a couple blocks from the old one anyhow.

My new place is a bit smaller than my old place. We're going to have trouble fitting everything in. When I say "we" I mean "me", since my roommates don't have quite as much crap as I do. We'll work it out.

By the way, my roommates are Beth and Tas, both pretty cool people.

The parking situation is a little fucked up, though. See, our house is on a corner. Attached to it are a couple of dinky apartments. The parking spots are on the other side of the apartments. The landlord has promised all three of us (the house and two apartments) two parking spaces each. Whoops, there's only 4 spots! Goddamnit. Further complicating things, one of the streets by our house allows 4 hour parking only, so it's essentially useless. The other one does alternating-day parking, but there are very few spots, and it will be useless once more people move back to town.

Amica is doing just fine in the new place; she really likes my roommates. And they like her.

I'm still trying to pack crap away as efficiently as possible. I plan on having a shelving unit dedicated to servers in the basement, as well as some storage for computer parts and various crap like that. However, first Talenos will need to get his stuff out of there, since we're letting him temporarily store stuff in our basement.

Beth is currently trying to sort out the kitchen. Last night I got the TV setup and at least the Tivo plugged into it so we can watch prerecorded shows. The cable (and thus the internet) is not on yet.
